Changes comin up soon

http://articles.moneycentral.msn.com/SmartSpending/ConsumerActionGuide/WhereHasAllTheHelpGone.aspx

So after reading that article about how customer services would probably change in the coming future I began to randomly think about other things which we may find changing. Of course you might not ever know but it could possibly happen. Listed or the few things that ran through my head.

1. Newspapers – The internet has bombarded our everyday lives and the use of newspapers may become outdated by things like cnn.com. Also the elimination would probably help the environment. Maybe the novelty of having the actual hard copy of news and reading it in the morning with the simplicity of not turning on a computer might prevail… but maybe not.

2. Coupons – Along side with newspapers this for sure is going away. I think in the coming years, they are going to offer discount coupon cards where you find the online coupon and type in the code for your card and then when you get to the store, just give them your card and you’re done. We’ll see what happens.

3. CD’s and DVD’s and Blu-Ray – This option might be kind of far fetched, especially with Blu-Ray being so new and all but with all the advances of portable storage, isn’t it possible we could just use portable storage things to store our media. The discs also scratch easily…But then again, maybe the novelty of having an actual something might prevail.

4. Manual Transmissions – It used to be that buying a manual transmission meant that you would get a cheaper price, increased gas mileage and better reliability. All you had to do is learn how to drive a manual transmission. But cars are being made so much better that reliability won’t become so much of an issue. Automatic transmissions are being made so well that they get almost equivalent gas mileage. Maybe for those who like the control of stick and like to race and stuff would always want one. So maybe the possibility of it fading out completely isn’t coming, but the reduction of production is.

5. Landline telephones – Because we all have cell phones? And their reliability and dependability will keep getting better?

Just a few things that came to mind right after I read the article.
